About the Journal
The Journal of Traffic Control Device Research (JTCDR) is a publication of the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (NCUTCD). The Journal will be maintained by the NCUTCD Research Committee. Authors are invited to submit technical papers and case studies for consideration for the journal.
This journal is not meant to compete with other established research journals. Rather, the journal is intended to be written by practitioners and researchers for use by practitioners and researchers who are looking for evidence-based data to inform recommendations for changes in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Therefore, while international papers will be considered, one of the main criteria will be the impact that the paper has on United States practice for providing direct input to MUTCD considerations.
